Sébastien Tilloy was born in 1972 in Douai (North, France). He received his Ph.D degree in 1998 from the University of Artois under the supervision of Pr E. Monflier. In 2000, he became «Maître de Conférences» at the University of Artois where he completed his Habilitation in 2004. In 2005, he spent six months as a postdoctoral position at the University of Amsterdam (Netherlands) with Pr. Piet van Leeuwen and Pr. Joost Reek. In 2006, he was promoted Professor. His research interests are centred on he cyclodextrins and more specifically on their supramolecular implications in the fields of aqueous biphasic catalysis in the presence of organometallic catalysis. These last years were devoted to better understand the behavior of cyclodextrins in these catalytic processes especially by spectroscopic studies of inclusion complexes between cyclodextrins and water-soluble phosphines and / or organometallic complexes. He is the author of 106 international scientific publications and more than 40 oral or poster presentations.
